Day 1: Relax, Unwind, and Unpack-

On your first day in St. Lucia, we recommend unpacking and settling into your hotel. We picked an all-inclusive hotel so you can enjoy all you can eat and drink at your hotel. If your flight lands early, do not forget to catch the sunset, enjoy a cocktail at the rooftop bar, or swim at the pool or beach!

Day 2: Beach and Pool Day-

On your first full day in St. Lucia, we recommend relaxing. It is, after all, a beach and pool vacation with unlimited margaritas, pina coladas, mudslides, and strawberry daiquiris! The beach closest to the hotel is Vigie Beach. Other beaches in Castries are Reduit Beach, La Toc Beach, and Malabar Beach.

Day 3: Snorkeling and Self-Drive Boat Day

Spending day three going SNORKELING will be the time of your life! Who does not love swimming with incredible creatures underwater? St Lucia has calm and clear waters, so do not forget to bring an underwater camera or a GoPro.

Day 4: ALL-IN-ONE St. Lucia Tour

You will see SOOOO many incredible sites in St. Lucia on this all in one tour! The guided tour with Danny was one of the best experiences that I had in Saint Lucia. I learned so much. Not only was it entertaining, but it was also educational.

  • Visit the Sulphur Springs and Mudbath
  • Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Botanical Gardens and Diamond Falls
  • See the majestic Pitons, St. Lucia’s twin towering peaks
  • Take a dip at Toraille’s breathtaking waterfall
Drive in Volcano

Drive-in Volcano: The first stop on the tour is the only drive-in volcano in the world. You can witness a bubbling steam crater through the windows of the car. Of course, you can get out and take a photo! The volcanos are how St. Lucia formed.

Mud Bath: After going to the drive-in volcano, you can stop at the infamous mud bath, where you slather the volcanic mud all over your body. Post mud bath, you can relax at the Sulphur Hot Springs, where you can take your time soaking it off. The hot water from the natural minerals at the Sulphur Hot Springs is relaxing. Hot springs are said to heal your body!

Pitons: The Pitons are a famous landmark that is hard to miss in St. Lucia. They are two mountainous volcanos that are around half a mile high.

Toraille’s Waterfall: Do not forget your swimsuit because you can go for a swim at Toraille’s Waterfall!

Botanical Gardens and Diamond Falls: The gardens are a relaxing place to spend your time in Saint Lucia.

You can swim in mineral water for an extra fee. The mineral water will make you feel BETTER afterward. You will also see the incredible Diamond Falls.

Day 5: Beach or Pool Day and Distillery Rum Tour

Reduit Beach in St Lucia

As I stated previously, this is a RELAXING vacation, so you do not have to wake up early on day five. You can go to the beach and pool. The beach closest to the hotel is Vigie Beach. If you are down to explore other beaches in the area visit Reduit Beach, a nine-minute drive from Vigie Beach, or Marigot Bay, a twenty-minute drive from Vigie Beach. Reduit Beach is one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, as the water is clear, calm, and bright blue.

After you have spent your morning at the beach or pool, we recommend going on a Rum Distillery tour. Tasting some of the finest rum in the Caribbean will be an experience to remember. The Rum Tasting tour will teach you about the distillery process at local businesses!

Day 6: Zip Line or ATV Tour

On your sixth day in St. Lucia, you can spend it how you want. If you prefer to stay at the all-inclusive resort, be my guest; however, below are a few more tour options you can add to your St. Lucia Trip.

ATV: Driving an ATV is an adrenaline-filled adventure to add to your St. Lucia bucket list. The ATV tour provides transportation and will pick you up from Castries. You will drive an ATV through the tropical forest of St. Lucia.

Zipline: What better way to see the Rainforest in St. Lucia than zip lining through it? Zip Lining is a fun activity that anyone can enjoy, especially if you love the adrenaline rush and are not afraid of heights.

How to Spend 6 Days in Punta Cana

How to Spend 6 Days in Punta Cana

Punta Cana is home to beautiful beaches, palm trees, white sand, and delicious Pina Coladas. Who does not want to spend the day relaxing while feeling the ocean breeze hit your face? Aside from enjoying the BEAUTIFUL turquoise beaches, there are far more activities than you would believe, including exploring waterfalls, meeting the local monkeys at Monkeyland, going on an ATV tour to try coffee and chocolate, zip lining, snorkeling, parasailing, diving into cenotes at Scape Park, and swimming with nurse sharks! I went to Punta Cana this past week for a wedding. My boyfriend’s friends got MARRIED! We followed some of this itinerary and stayed at an all-inclusive resort. Without further ado, let’s dive deeper into how to spend 6 days in Punta Cana!

Where to stay? We stayed at the all-inclusive resort called Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana Hammock Adults Only.  Our stay was perfect as we got to swim in several pools overlooking the ocean. The food and drinks were fabulous.

I am listing activities below that would make for a memorable trip. Of course, I will not include the wedding events I experienced. If you decide to stay where we are staying, we recommend relaxing at the beach or pool as much as possible and going on a few day trips on your fun Punta Cana adventure.

Do you need help planning your trip? Download our travel planner below and we will send you a FREE packing list and travel planner you can edit digitally or print.

Day 1: ARRIVE AND RELAX AT THE BEACH OR POOL

If you decide to stay in the same all-inclusive resort that we picked, check-in is at 3 pm. If you get to Punta Cana early, you can ask for an early check-in time. Take a deep breath, unpack, and settle into your hotel. Put on a bathing suit and grab your first meal and tropical, fruity drink! OMG, you will not regret ordering a margarita or Pina colada on your first fun day in Punta Cana. Spend the day at the pool or beach!

DAY 2: BEACH DAY OR SNORKEL TOUR-

On day two, yet again, we recommend just relaxing at the all-inclusive resort. What is better than being at the pool or beach on a Caribbean vacation? You can also go on a snorkel tour or a snorkel and parasail tour!

We went on a snorkel tour to swim with NURSE SHARKS and stingrays. We booked ours at the resort. This was one of the coolest experiences of my life. I was SCARED shitless, but they won’t harm you.

DAY 3: 7 WATERFALL TOUR

scenic photo of waterfalls during daytime

This waterfall tour will take you to 6 of the 27 waterfalls in Damajagua. OMG so cool. I would have LOVED to add this to MY Punta Cana vacation if we were there longer. You will hike up a big mountain reaching a rocky hilltop. Once you get to the top, you will get to jump, swim, and slide off of a series of waterfalls! There are even natural waterslides that you can slide down.

DAY 4: SCAPE PARK

Scape Park is packed with activities for the adventurous, from cenotes to swim in, caves to explore, zip lines to ride, and iguanas to feed. You can snag a boat ride or drive an ATV for an additional $40.00 while you are there. There are so many fun activities at the park that you can spend ALL DAY from 9 am to 5 pm there.

I enjoyed swimming in a cave that lights up, jumping into the cenote, holding a squirrel monkey, and riding on the hammock zip line.

DAY 5: BEACH + MONKEYLAND

Wake up, have a delicious COFFEE and breakfast, and then head down to the pool or beach. Did you know you can play and feed monkeys in Punta Cana at Monkeyland? This is how we recommend spending the afternoon in Punta Cana. The tour guide will pick you up from the resort at 1 pm! You will also enjoy panoramic views of local villages and mountains.

DAY 6: BEACH OR ATV TOUR + FLY HOME

Spend your last day at the beach and then head home! If your flight is not until later, book the ATV Tour to cenotes with chocolate and coffee tasting.

Part 1. All-Inclusive + Luxury

All-inclusive hotels are not for everyone; however, it is a great way to RELAX on your vacation and not worry about where you will eat or get coffee. Can you picture a Pina colada in hand, relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the ocean? How does that sound? The beach and a pool or various pools are on the property. Pina Coladas, fruity drinks, and wine are all included.

1- Hammock Cove Resort (LUXURY)

This resort is perfect for you if you are on a honeymoon. You will enjoy fine dining every evening and private villas with plunge pools. The interior design is absolutely breathtaking, with contemporary Caribbean décor. The company even included luxury Egyptian cotton linens.

  • 41 Villas Total
  • (294) Avg 5 Star Rating on Trip Advisor
  • Located at Devil’s Bridge National Park
  • Book Your Stay

2- St Jame’s Club

St. Jame’s Club is one of the top all-inclusive Antigua hotels because it has two beaches. You have five restaurants to select from, free kayaking and paddleboarding, six swimming pools, and tennis courts.

3- Verandah Resort and Spa

This all-inclusive resort is along the coastline with wooden villas and sea views. This one has all-inclusive watersports, also. This resort is perfect for a wedding. Yes, it is that stunning.

4- Cocobay Resort

This resort is all-inclusive for adults only and is perfect for honeymooners. You will find infinity pools overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

Part 2. Best Price + Average

Okay, so now we are off to the next category, which is typically my preference. The next category is budget-friendly, with an average rating. I mostly enjoy staying at a hotel or Airbnb that is NOT all-inclusive simply because I love to explore the island. Not that you can’t if you are at an all-inclusive hotel; however you are more likely to go out to eat at different restaurants etc.. If there were unlimited drinks and food every day, a pool, and a beautiful beach, I wouldn’t leave the resort.

5- AirBnb- Sunset Lane Paradise View

This AirBnb is where we stayed from Nov 11th to the 15th. We had the best time!!

The Apartment: The cozy studio apartment was perfect, with a functional kitchen, white bathroom, and comfortable bedroom. You have a coffee maker, refrigerator, stove, microwave, and water bottles.

The Pool: You have your private pool to relax at, with incredible views overlooking the mountains and one of the best beaches of Antigua.

The Sunset: The views of the sunset are STUNNING from this apartment.

The Location: The pool overlooks Dickenson Bay Beach, which is only a 10-minute walk away. This was my favorite turquoise color beach in Antigua.

6- Booking.com – Tropical Garden Cottage Antigua

This has the BEST BUDGET-FRIENLDY PRICE and the BEST RATING on Booking.com. From cleanliness to location, this is the spot for you to relax at. It is a perfect bed and breakfast. That is right, breakfast is included.
