20 Countries to Add to Your Bucket List

The world is a beautiful place!! Here are 20 countries that I have visited and loved!!!

#1: The Philippines-

Kawasan Falls, Philippines

The Philippines is one of the most amazing countries I have ever visited because of its culture, the locals, and the many islands it is home to. My favorite island that we visited was Cebu, where we got to swim with whale sharks and hike down Kawasan Falls!

#2: Spain-

Park Guell, Spain

Traveling to Spain was an incredible adventure, from marveling at Gaudí’s masterpieces like the Sagrada Família and Park Güell to exploring Madrid and indulging in paella and sangria. I even took a pill in Ibiza! …Advil, of course! Hahaha.

#3: Italy-

Venice, Italy

Italy is still to this day one of my favorite countries, and I have been back several times. I feel like I have not seen it all! I loved going on a gondola ride in Venice and seeing the Duomo in Florence. My favorite city in Italy was Rome, where we got to see the famous Trevi Fountain and tour the Colosseum. We also explored the towns of Cinque Terre.

#4. Portugal-

Belem Tower in Portugal

Portugal will always hold a special place in my heart. From exploring the vibrant streets of Lisbon to enjoying a scenic boat ride in Lagos, every moment was unforgettable. We especially loved visiting the iconic Belém Tower and the stunning Jerónimos Palace, easily accessible from downtown Lisbon.

#5: Iceland-

Blue Lagoon in Iceland

Iceland was one of the most unique countries I have ever visited, with natural hot springs, volcanoes, and geysers. The waterfalls throughout the country are stunning, and the Icelandic horses are so short, sweet, and adorable!

#6: Costa Rica-

Rio Celeste in Costa Rica

I loved traveling to Costa Rica, from seeing unique wildlife like tree frogs and sloths to visiting beautiful waterfalls such as Rio Celeste. I also enjoyed going water tubing, horseback riding, and zip-lining in the stunning rainforest of Costa Rica!

#7: Colombia-

Cartagena, Colombia

Colombia is a great place to visit. We enjoyed going to the Rosario Islands as well as exploring the streets of Cartagena and the Getsemaní neighborhood. I even got to take a photo with the traditional Palenque women selling fruit on the top of their heads.

#8: Hungary-

Saint Stephen’s Cathedral in Budapest

Budapest was a unique city in Hungary, home to statues and incredible architecture. We loved touring the Parliament Building and visiting the natural hot spring baths, such as the Gellért Baths.

#9: Switzerland-

Lake Lucerne

Switzerland has some of the most stunning lakes and mountains you will ever see. I loved taking a train ride through the Swiss Alps and exploring cities like Zurich and Lucerne. I will never forget walking across the infamous Chapel Bridge in Lucerne!

#10: Brazil-

Selarón Steps

Brazil was a beautiful place to visit, from the lush greenery in the city to exploring Tijuca National Park. I loved visiting the famous Selarón Steps, seeing the Christ the Redeemer statue, and taking a cable car ride to Sugarloaf Mountain.

#11: Croatia-

KRKA National Park, Croatia

Croatia was absolutely stunning, from exploring Split to visiting Krka National Park. I also loved taking the five-island speedboat tour to Hvar and the Blue Lagoon!

#12: Peru-

Ollantaytambo, Peru

Peru has a fascinating culture and incredibly kind locals. I loved visiting Machu Picchu, exploring Incan sites like Ollantaytambo, and seeing the Moray and Moras Ruins. Finally, exploring Cusco and seeing the alpacas everywhere was so memorable.

#13: U.S. Virgin Islands, Saint Thomas

Emerald Beach, Saint Thomas

Saint Thomas is absolutely stunning, known for its soft white sand, palm trees, and turquoise beaches. I highly recommend relaxing at Emerald Beach as well as Magens Bay.

#14: Scotland-

Edinburgh Red Telephone Booth

Scotland is a beautiful country. My favorite part was visiting Edinburgh. I loved strolling along the cobblestone streets of the Royal Mile!

#15: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Scape Park, Punta Cana

The Dominican Republic is another Caribbean island with beautiful turquoise beaches and plenty to do! I recommend visiting Scape Park. You can go zip-lining, swim in a cenote, and try the Tarzan swing. We even got to see squirrel monkeys at the park, and they were so cute!

#16: Greece-

Santorini, Greece

Greece is a stunning country, and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip there. I loved exploring the ancient ruins in Athens and admiring the iconic white and blue buildings of Santorini. We also visited Perissa Beach and went island hopping from Red Beach to White Beach, which was an unforgettable experience!

#17: Arizona, USA

Mather’s Point at Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA

The USA is home to 50 states. Some of my favorite memories include seeing Mathers Point at the Grand Canyon during late sunset in Arizona and traveling to the beaches of Florida!

#18: Ireland-

Carrick-a-Rede Bridge, Northern Ireland

Ireland is home to the Cliffs of Moher, vibrant cities like Galway and Dublin, and the Giants Causeway. I also loved visiting the Carrick-a-Rede Bridge in the North. It was so cool crossing the bridge and seeing the lush greenery surrounding me!

#19: Bali-

Bali, Indonesia

Bali is a wonderful place to travel, from exploring the Bali temples made from volcanic rock to exploring the rice terraces and visiting the monkey sanctuary! The turquoise beaches are stunning!!

#20: Antigua

Stingray City, Antigua

If you ever find yourself in Antigua, I wholeheartedly recommend swimming with stingrays at Stingray City. It was an incredible experience that I’ll never forget. Just remember to always follow the guidelines, as they’re there to keep everyone safe!
