10 Bucket List Places to Visit
The world is a magical place, from visiting incredible cities in Europe with stunning architecture to traveling to the mountains, lakes, or oceans. The beauty is undeniable. Here are 10 bucket list places to visit!
#1: Cinque Terre-
Cinque Terre is a special place in Italy along the coast. Cinque Terre means five towns, and I must say these towns are charming. The colorful buildings in the mountains along the water are quite stunning.
#2: Iceland-
Iceland is one of the most unique places in the world, formed by a volcano. You will find volcanoes, natural hot springs, geysers, waterfalls, black sand beaches, and glaciers. The geography is so unique, so you must experience it first-hand.
#3: Athens, Greece-
Athens is home to ancient wonders you most definitely will not see every day, from the iconic Acropolis to the Parthenon, these historic sites are breathtaking. I would book a tour to learn about each site from a professional tour guide.
#4: Croatian Coast-
The coast of Croatia is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life, from the turquoise-colored water to the historic cities, including Split and Dubrovnik. I loved going on the 5 Island Speedboat tour to Hvar and the Blue Lagoon. Inside the Blue Lagoon, the water lights up naturally from inside the cave.
#5: Bali-
Bali has temples made from volcanic rock, a culture that will change your perspective on life, and incredible turquoise beaches. The best places to visit are Ubud, Seminyak, and Uluwatu. You can book a fascinating temple tour, hike Mount Batur at sunrise, or even visit the rice terraces and monkey sanctuaries to make the most out of your trip to Bali.
#6: Venice, Italy-
Venice is a place where every turn is a photographer’s dream. From going on a gondola ride to touring the Doge’s Palace, you will never be bored. Don’t forget to visit Saint Mark’s Square. If you are lucky, you can catch an outdoor concert there. The architecture, canals, bridges, and buildings are beautiful. You do not want to miss a trip to Venice if you ever go to Italy!
#7: Rio de Janeiro-
Rio de Janeiro has beaches, greenery, and mountains all within the city. You can even find Tijuca National Park in the area! The Christ the Redeemer Statue, the Selaron Steps, and the cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain were highlights of my trip. Be sure to book tours and tickets to events like Carnival in advance. Everything can sell out quickly! If you are not there during Carnival, I recommend booking a behind-the-scenes tour to get a feel for their biggest event of the year!
#8: Barcelona, Spain-
Barcelona is a fast-paced city with a beach and one of the most famous churches, the Sagrada Familia. Other things to do in Barcelona include visiting Park Guell and seeing the architecture designed by the infamous Gaudi. Do not miss visiting an art gallery or two!
#9: Niagara Falls in Canada-
The Canadian side of Niagara Falls is beautiful. You can book a Maid of the Mist tour or a helicopter tour to see the falls from various angles. I did the Cave of the Winds Tour on the American side.
#10: Machu Picchu-
Machu Picchu is an ancient wonder of the world home to a long-lost city along the mountains. The beautiful place has alpacas roaming freely. You can hike to the Sun Gate to get a view of the city from above. The place is magical and should not be missed!
