The 7 Wonders of the World: Modern and Natural Marvels

The Seven Modern Wonders of the World were created by people, including innovative buildings and historic sites. The Natural Wonders are untouched beauty, including waterfalls and mountains. Both remind us how wonderful and captivating the world is. Below are the The 7 Wonders of the World: Modern and Natural Marvels.
What are the Modern Wonders?
1. Explore Machu Picchu, Peru-

Located among the Andes Mountains, Machu Picchu is an ancient Incan city that showcases breathtaking stonework and mysterious history. My sister and I booked a day trip to see Machu Picchu, and it did not disappoint. Walking through its ruins felt like stepping back in time to a lost civilization. We even hiked to the Sun Gate and got incredible views of the ancient city below. I will never forget the alpacas roaming freely along the way!
2. Marvel at Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro

Standing tall with outstretched arms, the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooks the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro. Tom, Allie, Will, and I were lucky enough to see the Christ the Redeemer statue on a clear day! The panoramic views from Corcovado Mountain of Sugarloaf Mountain were beautiful, offering a perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos.
3. Discover the Colosseum, Rome

Step into the heart of ancient Rome by visiting the Colosseum, a legendary amphitheater known for fierce gladiatorial contests. Tom and I booked the day tour to see the Colosseum with a professional tour guide. Our guide offered insight into the history of Gladiators, fights, starving animals, and attendees. The stories were so fascinating.
4. Walk Along the Great Wall of China

This ancient structure, along mountains and valleys, was built to defend from invasions. Walking along the Great Wall is a fascinating experience that connects you with centuries of history and craftsmanship. In the future I am going to book the day tour from Beijing.
5. Visit the Taj Mahal, India

The Taj Mahal’s stunning white marble and intricate architecture symbolize eternal love. Witnessing this masterpiece in person is a truly romantic and breathtaking experience. Book the top rated day tour from Delhi for the best experience.
6. Explore Petra, Jordan

Carved into red cliffs, Petra is a historic city with astonishing rock-cut architecture. Its mysterious allure and scenery make it a bucket-list-worthy adventure. This tour will stop at Petra as well as the infamous Dead Sea in Jordan!
7. Stand at Chichen Itza, Mexico

This ancient Mayan archaeological site features a pyramid. Exploring Chichen Itza offers a glimpse into a civilization that once thrived in the region. I experienced the Mayan Ruins firsthand a year ago in Belize, and they have a dark history. Mayans believed in many gods, human sacrifice, and blood rituals. You can see both Chichen Itza and swim in a cenote on a day trip to make the most out of your time!
What are the Natural Wonders?
1. Northern Lights-

Watching the swirling colors dance across the skies will be remembered forever. This natural light show is a magical experience. The best places to see the Northern Lights are Northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Alaska, and Canada between September and March. I will see them THIS YEAR in Iceland! I can’t wait! We booked the Northern Lights Cruise with Photos and Hot Chocolate!
2. Grand Canyon in the USA-

The Grand Canyon is a stunning natural wonder carved by the Colorado River over millions of years. Its vast, colorful landscape offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset. My favorite spot was witnessing the sunset at Mather’s Point. I also loved hiking down to Ooh Aah Point and seeing Horseshoe Bend!
3. Victoria Falls-

On the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe is the location of Victoria Falls. This place is one of the biggest and most spectacular waterfalls in the world. Standing near this natural wonder is a reminder of nature’s raw power. It’s about 1.7 miles wide and drops up to 354 feet deep. WOW! Did you know you can visit Devil’s Den and stand right at the edge of the waterfall? It’s a thrilling spot for those seeking a little adventure!
4. Great Barrier Reef in Australia-

Dive into the world’s largest coral reef system, known for its extensive marine life. There is nothing like booking a snorkeling or diving tour at this location, from witnessing green sea turtles to manta rays.
5. Mount Everest in Nepal-

Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world, standing at approximately 29,029 feet above sea level. Climbing to its summit is the ultimate challenge for mountaineers and adventurers. Instead of hiking to the summit, I suggest you hike to the base. It is still quite a trek, but not as dangerous! You can also book a scenic flight over the mountain for a different perspective!
6. Parícutin in Michoacán, Mexico-

Parícutin is a young volcano that erupted unexpectedly in 1943, creating a new volcanic cone in Michoacán. It remains active and is a fascinating geological site.
7. Harbor of Rio de Janeiro–

The Harbor of Rio de Janeiro is famous for its stunning natural beauty and the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking the bay. It is a vibrant port that symbolizes both the city’s lively culture and breathtaking scenery.
The modern wonders of the world are incredible feats of human innovation, like the Great Wall of China.
