11 Things to Do in NYC During the Holiday Season

The best place to celebrate the holidays is in NYC. You will feel the spirit and high energy of the city the second you arrive. It is, after all, the city that never sleeps. Below are 11 things to do in NYC during the holiday season.

#1: Bryant Park Holiday Market-

Bryant Park Holiday Market sells everything from décor for the Holidays, like ornaments and candles, to coffee, treats, and warm apple cider. The market lights up at night and is one you will not forget. It is near Grand Central.

#2: Rangers Game-

If you are a Rangers fan and LOVE hockey, then going to a game is something everyone should do this holiday season.

#3: Radio City Rockettes-

The Radio City Rockettes is a famous show to see at least one Holiday Season. The professional dancers are in sync, and the show is quite entertaining. Did you know? The show had been around since the 1930s!

#4: The Nutcracker-

The Nutcracker is a beautiful ballet and tells the story of Clara, who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve. The Nutcracker and Clara fight the evil king mouse. They travel to meet the Snow Queen and King and complete their journey to the Kingdom of Sweets. The Lincoln Center holds the show every year.

#5: Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center-

Rockefeller is undeniably the most beautiful area in all of NYC during the holidays. Home to an ice-skating rink, Christmas trees, and decorations, it is a sight that you will not want to miss this Holiday Season.

#6: Ice Skating at Battery Park or Rockefeller Center-

Who does not want to go ice skating at night near the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center?

#7: Light Shows-

Walk through the botanic garden to witness incredible lights at night. Another great spot to watch a light show is at the Bronx Zoo or Saks Fifth Avenue.

#8: Stardust Diner-

Enjoy a delicious milkshake and pancakes at the Stardust Diner because they have REAL Broadway stars performing! The singers are talented and entertaining. The waitresses are constantly auditioning to get their next gig.

#9: Union Square Holiday Market-

This market is at the TOP of my list this year. This market is the largest in all of NYC, and there are a lot of vendors to go to who sell everything from hot apple cider to hand-crafted Christmas gifts and souvenirs.

#10: Lillie’s Victorian Establishment-

This restaurant has remarkable decorations during the holidays. The décor has everything from shiny garlands to life-sized nutcrackers and decorated Christmas trees.

Another great place to grab a bite to eat and be in awe of the fabulous Christmas decorations is at Rolf’s. This restaurant has over 60,000 lights alone.

#11: Hop Abroad to the Classic Harbor Line Holiday Cruise-

This cruise will get you in the holiday spirit. It is a 1920s-style yacht decked out in holiday décor with Christmas music playing. Everything from cocktails to hot chocolate is available for purchase.
