I always find more happiness when I have experiences to reflect on with people I love spending time with. Materialistic items will bring short-term happiness; however, memories will last forever. Without further ado, below are 22 activities to add to your bucket list!

1-Swim in the Fairy Pools in Scotland-

Swimming in the Fairy Pools is a bucket list activity to add to your list if you are ever on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. You will hike for 40 minutes to reach waterfalls, streams, and pools. It is important to note that it is FREEZING year-round. The first pool you can jump in and the second is the clearest, where you can get Instagram-worthy photos. The entrance fee is five pounds.

2-Walk Along the Rainbow Skywalk in Penang-

The Rainbow Skywalk will give you a bird’s eye view of Penang below. The observatory deck has stunning views. The floor below you is a glass walkway, so you can see how far up you are by looking down. There is a rooftop bar and lounge called Top View. You will enjoy tapas or a margarita with incredible views of Penang.

3-Island Tour of Ha Long Bay, Vietnam-

Ha Long Bay is known for its limestone mountains and emerald water. It is a safe place to swim because of its calm waters. Book a Cruise Trip!

4-Stay in an Ocean Hut at Bora Bora-

Staying in an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora is pricey, but is worth adding to your bucket list for being surrounded by turquoise blue water. This experience will be remembered forever. Can you imagine waking up and taking a dip in the beautiful crystal-clear water?

5-Swim in the hot springs at Kusatsu Onsen-

Kusatsu Onsen is 60 minutes from Karuizawa Station in Japan. It is one of Japan’s most famous hot springs towns! Exploring Karuizawa will be an adventure on its own!

6-Hike the Sagano Bamboo Forest in Japan-

Go hiking on several pathways through the famous bamboo forest in Kyoto, Japan. You will NOT regret it! DO NOT forget to take photos!

7-Horseback or Camel Ride in front of the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt-

Giza is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and what better way to see it than to ride a horse or camel for a one-to-two-hour adventure? The best time to witness the golden sand and pyramids is at sunset.

8-See the Northern Lights –

The best spot to see the Northern Lights in America is at Fairbanks in Alaska. You can see the Northern lights in Iceland and Northern Norway in Europe! The best time to see the lights in Iceland is between September and April.

9-Swim in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland-

The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa open to visitors year-round because the temperature is 99 to 102 degrees Fahrenheit. It is one of the most touristy attractions in Iceland, so it will be busy when you get there.

10- See a Glacier-

Glaciers are beautiful and the best place to witness them is at Glacier National Park in the USA. Natural glaciers in Iceland are a popular tourist attraction because the ice formations are gorgeous. More than 10% of Iceland is covered by glaciers. The most famous one to visit is the Vatnajökull glacier because it is the largest one.

11-Walk the Great Wall of China-

The Great Wall of China is one of the most impressive handmade structures ever built. The wall spans over 20,000 km and will leave you in awe. Did you know? If you were to walk the entire path, it would take you 18 months. Of course, you will find shorter routes and trails perfect for a one-time visit. The most famous hiking section is about 1 to 3 hours from Beijing. Views throughout the entire hike are stunning and this is for sure worthy of a bucket list item.

12-Take the Walk of Faith in China


The glass walkway called the Walk of Faith sits at 1,430 meters above sea level and is 61 meters long at the top of Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain.

13-Heaven’s Gate at Tianmen Mountain in China


Did you know? 999 steps lead to Heaven’s Gate, which is an arch that is 130 meters tall at Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain.

14-Hike Zhangjiajie National Park in China-


Zhangjiajie National Park is the inspiration for Avatar. The scenic peaks are beautiful and mesmerizing.

15-Witness a Giant Tortoise in the Galapagos Islands-

The most famous animal to see in the Galapagos islands is the Giant Tortoises. The best way to see them is to book a tour to visit Rancho Pimicias. You will also get to wander through the lava tunnels. El Chato Tortoise Reserve is another place to spot Giant Tortoises; however, this time in a natural habitat.

16-Hike at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming-

Yellowstone was established as the world’s first national park in 1872. The park sits on a volcano known for its hot springs, geysers, and wildlife. Animals you might find include grizzly bears and wolves.

17-Yosemite National Park in California-

Yosemite is famous for its Giant Sequoia Trees. You will also find waterfalls, granite cliffs, and wildlife. You might be lucky and see a black bear, mule deer, coyote, or sheep.

18-See the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy-

The tower is known for its four-degree lean. It is fascinating to visit because it looks like the building is defying gravity.

19-See the Natural Hot Springs in Tuscany, Italy-

The hot springs are a MUST-SEE if you are ever in Tuscany. If you are staying in Rome, you MUST take a day trip to see the hot springs or go on a wine tour. The Saturnia Hot Springs are free to visit.

20-Attend the Palio Horse Race in Siena, Italy-

The Palio Horse Race occurs twice a year on August 16th and July 2nd at the Campo. Ten horses must run three laps around the Campo and thousands attend the race.

21-Stroll Along the Streets of Sassi di Matera in Italy-

Matera is an unusual place to visit because the churches and homes were created from rock. The buildings were built in caves 9,000 years ago. It is becoming a popular travel destination to see historical buildings firsthand.

22- Make a wish at the Trevi Fountain in Rome-

The Trevi Fountain is probably one of the most famous fountains in the world. Legend has it that if you make one wish and throw a coin to the fountain, you are guaranteed to visit Rome in the future. Tossing two coins and making a second wish means you will fall in love, and three coins means you will get married!
